Appy Plate

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

Appy Plate is a family dinner and shopping list app. This page says plainly what it keeps about you, why, and how to get rid of it.

What we keep

What we do not do

Where it lives

On a server we run in the United Kingdom. Your sign-in token is stored on your phone in its secure keychain. Card and voucher photos are reduced in size on your phone before they are sent, and the server keeps only what you send.

How long

For as long as you have an account. Shopping history is kept for the period shown in the app. When you delete your account, your personal details, your sign-in and everything you alone added are removed; anything you added to a shared list stays with the household it belongs to, without your name against it.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings, then Delete my account. It happens straight away. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to revoke the sign-in.

Children

Appy Plate is for households. Children in a household may use the app on a phone an adult has set up for them; we collect nothing from a child beyond what any member adds to the shared list and week.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold (the app has Export my data under Settings), ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Write to bluesailtechnologies@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app will tell you.
